Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

This is the easiest chicken and dumplings recipe to make, plus it's quick. I keep the ingredients for it stocked at all times for nights when I want to make something that doesn't take long or I just need a good warm-me-up food.
I got the original recipe from the side of the frozen biscuit package, and then I modified it into something I like better. The recipe here is my version.

Kelli's Chicken and Dumplings

1-2 cups leftover cooked chicken or turkey (canned stuff doesn't taste nearly as good, but it works in a pinch)
1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 tsp. dried basil
Six frozen buttermilk biscuits, cut into quarters (leave biscuits out for a bit to thaw so that you can break them into quarters. DO NOT LET THAW COMPLETELY. This changes the flavor somehow and it isn't as good.)

In Dutch oven, combine chicken/turkey, broth, soups, and basil, stirring well. Heat over medium-high heat until boiling, stirring frequently. Add pieces of broken biscuits and cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

Makes approximately 5-6 servings.

This is the easiest recipe in the world to make, and it's a good comfort/warm-me-up food. It's also good for breakfast, but then I don't care for normal breakfast food usually.
